Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Our Policy
If a session is canceled for any reason less than 48 hours before the appointment or in the event of non-attendance, the full session fee applies. This is because it leaves a significant hole in the therapist’s day along with prep time that could have been used for another client. Alongside providing the best help for our clients, we also want to provide the best experience for counselors – which includes a consistent schedule.
Using My Extended Health Benefits
Your Coverage for Mental Health Services
Yes! Many extended healthcare providers will cover a portion or all of your counseling fee. However, every plan is different, so we strongly recommend checking with your healthcare provider to confirm your coverage before beginning therapy. Please note that Peacefulness Counseling Center requires all clients to pay for their sessions at the time service is provided. While we do not direct bills to extended health plans, we will provide you with a receipt after each appointment, which you can easily submit to your health plan for reimbursement.
